I got my first fly rod 60 years ago and began tying two years later in Eastern Oregon. My copy of "The Art of Tying The Wet Fly & Fishing The Flymph" was mail-ordered in 1987 and I finally found my first mole fur for the Iron Blue Wingless in the Jack Dennis’ shop in 1989. I joined the International Brotherhood of the Flymph in 2006. I am also a FFI Life Member and member of the FFI Fly Tying Group. I have tied at Fly Tyers Expos and FFI International Fly Fishing Fairs in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Montana. I am mainly a trout fly tyer but dabble in flies for fish in all waters.
